Hello and welcome to my patreon page. First and foremost, thank you for your interest and your help. My name is Casalius After Dark, and this is my first
visual novel, Shared Desires.I’ve been following 3D adult multimedia projects a long time, and eventually I decided it was time to bring my own project to life.
About the development process:
When I first came up with this story, I initially planned to tell it in a comic-style format. However, because I wanted a more
cinematic approach to storytelling, I decided that the Visual Novel format would be a better fit. Future episodes will each contain approximately 650–750
renders, and the development time for each episode will be three months. Without giving any spoilers, I can say that this story aims to strike a balance
between realism and entertainment. Above all, it’s meant to be fun. No one wants to wait three months for a new episode only to end up disappointed.
I’m doing my best to make sure every release feels worth the wait.
About choices and multiple paths:
This visual novel will not feature player choices or multiple story paths. While these were part of my early plans, I eventually realized that they didn’t
meaningfully contribute to the story I wanted to tell. Personally, I enjoy experiencing visual novel stories much like watching a movie or a TV series –
following a clear, focused narrative. I’ve also seen many promising projects struggle or fail because branching paths unnecessarily extended development
time or made the story difficult to manage. I have great respect for developers who can implement choices and multiple paths in a smart and functional way.
In some genres, they absolutely make sense. However, for the story I’m telling here, I believe they would actually kill the tension rather than enhance it.
This will not be a dramatic cheating or betrayal story. There will be no NTR elements. Because of that, there are no cheating paths, good-wife paths,
or bad-wife paths. In my personal opinion, a “good wife path” doesn’t add much value to this type of story anyway – ordinary, conventional relationships
aren’t particularly interesting here. So, if you enjoy genres like sharing, swinging, hotwifing, NTS, and similar themes, this game is very likely made for you.
About animations:
The animations in this project were created using AI tools. I know that for some people, seeing the word “AI” immediately triggers frustration – and honestly,
I understand why. I’ve seen some truly terrible AI animations in some visual novels. That said, I’ve also seen AI animations done right. What matters most to me
is the visual consistency between the renders and the animations. They need to feel like they belong together. I paid close attention to this balance
while creating the animations for this VN, and I genuinely believe they blend well with the renders. As development continues, I’m open to revisiting and
replacing older animations if I can produce higher-quality results. One thing I can say with confidence is that using AI animations has had a massive positive
impact on development time. As long as I can achieve good quality, I plan to continue using them.
About sound and music:
As development progresses, I plan to add sound effects, ambient sounds, and music. These will be essential for achieving a more cinematic
and immersive experience.
