After returning from your first solo hunt, you find your village burnt to the ground by an invading army. Fleeing from the soldiers that patrol the remains of your home, you're forced further into the woods, only losing your pursuers in the deep forest.
Your people avoided this part of the forest, where the tales and legends spoke of fae and spirits ever seeking to claim a lost soul. As you stumble in the half-light beneath the mighty Dragonbark Cedars, praying desperately to the nature goddess to offer you succour, a whisper winds out from the shadows.
