And then—an actual system interface in front of my eyes. Like the ones from web novels… except this one called itself Eros and handed me a task that was downright impossible.
Still, maybe this is a chance.
Because ever since The Evolved—or mutants, as most people call them—started appearing, the world has never been the same. People talk about âQiâ and âRootâ like theyâre just another part of life. The streets aren't safe anymore.
And now, with this strange system in my head, I'm about to find out just how dangerous—and how exciting—this new world can be.
