同じ村に住む人々は1人、また1人と病に倒れ、
最後の村人を見送ってからは、
「いつか自分も死ぬのだろう」
とただ無気力に生きていた。
そんな中、ふらりとやってきた少女『ミオ』と出会い、
再び生きる喜びを思い出していく。
