But Netoria 1 had some structural issues that I couldn't really fix that way, like the mechanics and story falling apart in the second half. So instead I decided to redo the basic formula of the first game but with better planning and budget and such. Hopefully Netoria 2 will be a much better overall experience start to finish.Why use SRPG Studio again?Yes, SRPG Strudio is bad, I've bemoaned it plenty in the past. But from my experience making At the Mountains of Friendship, I think that anything I code personally will probably cause just as many UI problems in the end. At this point people who are fans of the game are already used to the quirks of the engine and switching to something else would probably create more problems than it would solve. Besides, I've already done lots of work to get things this functional already, development would have taken around twice as long if I started over in something else.
