But those were built for the CD version and came without source code, so they didn't work either.From there, I had no choice but to reverse engineer the entire engine from scratch — the file formats, compression algorithms, image formats, and packing algorithms. That alone took a significant amount of time. The biggest roadblock was the GPX image format; I couldn't get the engine to accept my recreated images, and that single problem held me up for a long time on its own.On top of that, I had to resize the text box graphics and then modify hardcoded engine logic to accept the new dimensions and render four lines of text properly.
